What is Common Threads? It sprang from my social media burn out and the desire to connect on a deeper level than the scroll machine of IG allows. It's personal journal that weaves together all the facets of my creative life, from art to motherhood, to travel and teaching, and inviting you to join in the journey of making, exploring and growing.

I’m Kristin Skees—Artist, Designer, Professor, Mom, Vintage Lover, World Traveler and Homebody. Common Threads began as a space to explore and create, all under one roof. After all, art is life… and life is art. The joy is in discovering what’s around the corner, and reflecting on how we got there. This journal is meant to document the creative journey of life, in all of its forms.
